ABOUT THE COURSE

Expert IELTS Coaching at Callens Institute

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world’s most popular English proficiency test — accepted by over 11,000 organisations in 140 countries. Whether you are applying for a UK visa, Canadian PR, Australian immigration, or admission to a foreign university, IELTS is your gateway.

At Callens Institute, our IELTS coaching is not about memorising templates — it is about building the real English skills that translate directly into band scores. Our trainers have deep expertise in IELTS examiner expectations, scoring criteria, and the specific strategies that make the difference between a 6.5 and an 8.0.

We teach people to communicate — not just to pass exams. Every student starts with a free one-to-one diagnostic across Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, so your preparation is built around your actual starting level, not a fixed template. If your English foundation is still developing, we build that first — because IELTS technique only takes you as far as the English underneath it allows.

We cover both IELTS Academic (for university admissions) and IELTS General Training (for immigration and work visas). Every module — Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking — is trained separately with dedicated strategy sessions, timed practice, and personalised feedback after every mock test.

Modules IELTS Academic and General Training both covered
Duration 2-month Intensive or 3-month Foundation + IELTS, based on your level
Batch Size Maximum 12–15 students for personal attention
Mode Online and offline both available
Target Score Customised strategy based on your target band
Timings Morning, evening and weekend batches available

Which IELTS Track Is Right for You?

Not every student needs the same runway. Your free diagnostic assesses your Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing (LSRW) before we recommend a track — so you’re not paying for weeks you don’t need, or rushing into a mock you’re not ready for.

INSIDE THE PROGRAMME

Three Phases, Twelve Weeks

This is what the 3-month Foundation + IELTS track looks like, phase by phase — English ability building into academic English, then converting into exam performance.

1
Weeks 1–4

English Foundation

Sentence structure, tenses, question formation and everyday speaking — making accurate English automatic before layering exam skills on top.

  • Grammar fundamentals & sentence building
  • Present, past & future tenses in use

  • Relative clauses & conditionals
  • Skimming, headings & flowcharts
  • Ends with a mid-course mock
3
Weeks 9–12

  • Full-length mocks with error analysis
  • Ends with a band prediction

OUR APPROACH

How We Teach Differently

Four principles that shape every class, regardless of which track you’re on.

CEFR-Based Diagnostic First

Before you enrol, a free LSRW assessment places you accurately on the CEFR scale — so your programme starts at your real level, not a guess.

Grammar Logic, Not Rote Rules

We teach why a structure works, not just when to use it — so you can build sentences spontaneously in Speaking and Writing, not just recognise them in a quiz.

Accent-Neutral Pronunciation

IELTS doesn’t score you on sounding British or American. We work on clarity, stress and rhythm — you keep your own accent.

Think in English, Not Hindi

Constant Hindi-to-English translation causes hesitation. We build direct association between meaning and English, so responses come faster and more naturally.

GOOD TO KNOW

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a British or American accent to score well in Speaking?
No. IELTS does not assess accent — it assesses clarity, stress, rhythm and how easily an examiner can understand you. You can keep your natural accent and still score highly.
I already speak decent English — do I still need the foundation phase?
Not necessarily. Your free diagnostic will show this. Students who test at B1 or above usually go straight into the 2-month IELTS Intensive track instead.
How is my starting level decided before I begin?
Through a free one-to-one assessment covering Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing (LSRW), which places you approximately on the CEFR scale and determines your recommended track.
Does Callens guarantee a specific band score?
No institute honestly can — your final score depends on your starting level, attendance, practice and consistency too. What we commit to is the structure, feedback and mock testing needed to move you from your current level toward your target.
Will I have to stop thinking in Hindi to improve my English?
Gradually, yes — and that’s the goal. Constantly translating Hindi to English in your head slows you down and produces unnatural sentences. We help you build direct association with English meaning, so responses become faster and more natural over time.
